Poker: Wsop Final Table Starts - The opening ceremonies boasted all the Vegas razzmatazz we have come to expect from this multi-million dollar spectacular as some 600 railbirds crammed into the Penn and Teller theatre at the Rio to cheer on their favourites and ogle legendary players in the game.

Poker: Wsop Final 9 + Official Chip Count - 7/16/09 - Each of the nine players left will be paid $1.26 million this week as ninth-place money. Wsop Event 22 - 6/14/09 - Best of a thousand - that's the boast Jeff 'Wildcat' Carris can make this week after beating a large entry field to take down Event 22 - the $1 500 buy-in NLHE Shootout tournament at the World Series of Poker.

Wsop Event 23 - 6/13/09 - The explosive Finnish player Ville Wahlbeck, who is having an extraordinarily successful WSOP thus far and must be in contention for the WSOP Player of the Year kudos, managed not only another final table this year, but a second placing in Event 23 - the $10 000 buy-in 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship (No-Limit).
