Roy Winston, otherwise known as The Oracle, has advised players not to show their hands too often.
He stated that he used to show his far too much but as his game has developed, he is doing so less and less.
The reason for this, he says, is because he finds it harder to read players who never show their hand.
Winston commented: "Everyone always seems to have a good reason for showing, but I have gone to the side of hardly ever showing. Often you can confirm a read when someone shows."
He added that it is often much more frustrating to play against someone who never shows.
Despite this, The Oracle cited an instance where showing a bluff early on in a game may have helped him to win a big hand later on.
Roy Winston shot to fame in the poker world when he won the World Poker Tour Borgata earning him $1,575,280 in winnings.
