Muchos Poker Banned By Ipoker network
Saturday May 11,2013 : SUPER AFFILIATE MUCHOS POKER BANNED BY iPOKER NETWORK
Reasons for the ban are not at present clear, but a security investigation continues
Several online information websites are currently reporting a ban imposed on super affiliate Muchos Poker by Playtech's iPoker Network.
The reasons for the ban are not at present clear in the absence of official statements by iPoker, but a security investigation is underway and there is speculation that the ban may be connected to player-to-player transfer issues.
One information site, Poker Update, published the content of the banning notice from iPoker to its skins Friday, noting that all Muchos Poker activity is now banned on the iPoker network.
The notification announces:
“All Muchos poker activity is now officially banned on the iPoker.com Network. From this point on all card rooms are to stop accepting any new players from Muchos poker. All existing accounts are to be banned, if funds are present in accounts they are allowed to be withdrawn following normal checks relating to collusion, fraud or account verification.”
Poker Update also advises that the Malta regulator Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) has recently been dealing with player complaints regarding Muchos.
Muchos Poker's business model is based on facilitating players across several networks under a single account.
The information site Pokerfuse indicates that Muchos is in conciliatory mode, quoting a statement from the affiliate that confirms it will "...assist iPoker in their investigations to the best of our ability and try to find an acceptable solution with them, so we can get back to marketing and bringing in new players to the great game of poker.”
In the meantime, Muchos has suspended all transfers between its iPoker accounts.
Muchos stands to lose a lot of business from the ban; the company works as an affiliate for four major online poker rooms on the iPoker network: William Hill, poker770, dafabet Poker and Winner Poker. It additionally operates three rooms itself, on the Enet and Revolution Gaming networks, and on Instadeal for fast-fold poker.
Other poker companies which Muchos promotes include 888, Ongame and Boss Media's International Poker Network.
According to Pokerfuse, Muchos claims it is blameless, commenting: “From our perspective, we believe we have done nothing untoward and followed all network rules and regulations and performed necessary KYC checks on all players and will continue to do so.”
