The match lacked the massive swings in fortunes experienced in previous confrontations, with Townsend playing a tight, disciplined strategy that paid off across a series of sub-$300 000 pots, none of which reached record breaking heights.

Isildur1 finally called it a day after a clash on the $500/$1 000 PLO tables with Ilari Sahamies, where his good fairy failed and he went down $267 000.
Due mainly to his losing streak against Townsend, the mysterious Swede's results for this session as recorded by MarketPulse showed a loss of some $976 000.
