New jersey Online Gambling July 2016 Report
NEW JERSEY ONLINE GAMBLING ENJOYS A PROFITABLE JULY
Online revenues grow 38.6 percent year-on-year.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released its July 2016 figures Friday, reporting that online gambling continues to prosper, delivering revenues up 38.6 percent year-on-year of $17.37 million (July 2015: $12.53 million).
The online sector performed a million dollars a month better in July than in the preceding month, and the sector has set a new record, surpassing Aprils $17 million milestone.
On a year-to-date basis, the online component is up 32.6 percent at $112.2 million, with online poker rising 10.8 percent to over $15.7 million and casino up 37.2 percent at over $96.4 million.
Land gaming activity in Atlantic City delivered revenues of $245 million in July 2016.
Added to the online gambling contribution, total New Jersey gambling revenue for July 2016 was $257.5 million - a 6.9 percent year-on-year improvement.
Online poker was up 6.7 percent versus July 2015, delivering $2.01 million, only 11.5 percent of online revenue (July 2015: 15 percent), whilst online casino operations at $15.35 million were up 44.2 percent y-o-y contributed 88.5 percent of overall online revenue, up from 85 percent in July 2015.
Borgata-Party Poker led the online market with a 22.9 percent share, chased by Golden Nugget-Betfair on 21.3 percent and Caesars Interactive on 19.5 percent. Tropicana was fourth with 18.6 percent and Resorts-Pokerstars-NYX trailed on 17.6 percent.
From an online poker only perspective, Resorts-Pokerstars led the field with 37.5 percent of the market, followed by CIE-WSOP-888 on 32.3 percent and Borgata-Party Poker on 30.2 percent
