NBA Finals Betting
NBA Betting – Never Before in NBA History
Game four of the 2012 NBA Finals did not go as the Oklahoma City Thunder wanted it to go. The worst part of it was that it could have been worse for the Thunder if the Miami Heat's Lebron James had been able to play in the fourth quarter of the game. With James on the bench, the Heat maintained its lead that James helped to build while he was on the floor. Miami managed to do some reliable maintenance to the game scoreboard and left the game with a 3-1 series lead.
Nothing gets easier for the Thunder heading into game five. The online betting sites continuously point out that no team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit to win an NBA title. That is not to say that a team who was down 3-1 did not win game five. That has happened. But no team has come all the way back. The other problem for Oklahoma City is that game five is in Miami. If Lebron James and the Heat are going to keep a promise to the fans, they will want to do it while the fans are present. The planets are not aligning for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Despite lacking all of the characteristics of a championship team, the Miami Heat has managed to take a commanding lead in the NBA Finals. Head coach Erik Spoelstra does not strike people as someone who is a leader of men. In Miami, it looks more like the inmates are running the asylum. But a sportsbooks review of the Heat's game plan shows that the team is finally able to lean on Lebron James and get results. James has been scoring points and playing solid defense this entire series. He has not disappeared in the fourth quarter (with the exception of the game four injury that kept him out of the fourth quarter) and he has been pushing the team forward. It looks like the Heat is finally getting the Lebron James it needed.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will be a power duo in the NBA for a long time. But in this series, they are just not playing smart basketball. Both players are not pressuring the Heat's outside shooters and they are both having problems getting critical shots to fall. James Harden was impressive in the Western Conference playoffs, but he has disappeared in the finals. The Thunder need to get its momentum back or else this series will end in Miami.
The Bottom Line
The Thunder has been in a similar situation like this before, but not in the NBA Finals. The Thunder looked to be down and out to the San Antonio Spurs and wound up surging back to win the series. The Heat wants desperately to end this series at home. But the Thunder may not be so accommodating.
