Day 10 : 2010 World Series of Poker main event

And veteran ace Johnny Chan ends a good run
 
The tenth action packed day of the 2010 World Series of Poker main event saw the last woman still in contention, Breeze Zuckerman eliminated in 121st place by Eric Baldwin, covering her $10,000 buy-in with a $57,102 prize.
 
Israeli-born but US-resident Zuckerman was a complete novice only a year ago, and although she holds law and social science degrees, she currently plays poker for a living.
 
Also headed for the rail was two-time WSOP main event champ and veteran ace, Johnny Chan, after gambling strong pocket pairs twice against pocket aces. Chan won $57,102 for his 156th placing.
 
Day 6 action commenced Thursday afternoon at the Rio when the 205 survivors of Day 5, led by Evan Lamprea on 3,564,000, reconvened with average chip stacks at 1,071,073.
 
After four hours of play the field was down to just 121 players, with Chan among the eliminations, heading for the exit within the first two hours of action.
 
Two more Mizrachi brothers busted out of the main event, too, leaving only Michael in the fray but playing strongly.
 
Other notable names heading to the cashier cage during the day included Phil Galfond, Robert Mizrachi, JP Kelly, Theo Tran, Jesper Hougaard, Christian Harder, Todd Witteles, Juha Helppi and Ian Gordon.
 
Close of Day 6 play Thursday night at level 25 saw 78 players – just on 1 percent of the original field of 7,319 - still going after a place at the final table, with Theo Jorgensen holding a comfortable ahead of his nearest rival on 9,300,000. Second place was held by Michael Mizrachi on 7,535,00, who enjoyed a tremendous day in which he led for much of the time.
 
Average chip stack was 2,815,000 when the day closed.
 
Still very much in contention are John Racener, Alexander Kostritsyn, Matt Affleck, Bryn Kenney, David Baker, Scott Clements, David Benyamine, Johnny Lodden, Tony Dunst, Hasan Habib, Peter Jetten and Jean-Robert Bellande.
