Event 5 - the $1 500 Pot Limit Omaha - was decided, with Jason Mercier taking the bracelet and a main prize of $237 415 after prevailing in a final table that included: Chip leader Kevin Iacofano, Jonathan Tare, An Tran, Victa Park, Dario Alioto, Matt Giannetti, Steven Burkholder and Chris Biondino. Mercier started around the middle of the pack but soon working his way up in a display of aggression and talent.
 
The heads up was between Mercier and Stephen Burkholder, who collected a check for $146 748 for his second place finish.
 
The tournament posted 800 entries.
