24Poker Has License Suspended

Online poker fans were pondering what has gone wrong at 24Poker.com Thursday following the appearance of a press release from software provider Microgaming advising that the website has been blocked.
 
The Microgaming press release read:
 
"Microgaming today announced that all game play on the 24 Poker website has been blocked due to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission suspending 24 Poker’s gaming license. Both Microgaming and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission have tried without success to contact the 24 Poker Management Team. Further announcements will be made as additional information becomes available.
 
Operated by the Stanley, County Durham company BPR Services Limited in the United Kingdom, 24Poker has been licensed by the KGC since 2004 according to the Commission’s website. Its licence was not due to expire until end January 2012.
 
The KGC has additionally advised that the licence of Blue Cactus Enterprises was revoked on November 16 for failure to pay its licensing fees. The revocation affects the online gambling websites Kong88.com and Live Gambler.com.
