Vadzim Kursevich wins EPT Deauville main event

European Poker Tour Deauville falls to 24-year-old Vadzim Kursevich
 
After five gruelling days of top level poker and a 12 hour final table, the 24-year-old Belarusian poker ace Vadzim Kursevich has emerged as the winner of the EPT Deauville main event, claiming the top prize of Euro 875 000.
 
Kursevich despatched his final opponent, second placed Paul Guichard, who gave an impressive account of himself, starting the heads up with a massive deficit and fighting his way back into the game and almost taking the title… a real threat right up to the final hand. The Frenchman's reward was a bank account boosting runner-up prize of Euro 557 000.
 
The win was internet and live tournament player Kursevich's biggest prize to date, and was achieved in the face of a formidable final table that included highly experienced tournament players like Luca Pagano, Mick Graydon, Vuong Than Trong, Yorane Kerignard, Bruno Jais and Olivier Rogez.
