Microgaming Poker Surge In Traffic

Friday September 7. 2012 : WHAT LIES BEHIND MICROGAMING POKER'S SUDDEN SURGE IN TRAFFIC?

According to the independent online poker traffic monitor Pokerscout, MPN traffic soared 33 percent last week.

Industry observers were speculating on the factors that drove a remarkable 33 percent rise in traffic at the Microgaming Poker Network this week.

The independent online poker monitor Pokerscout reported:

"Microgaming Network booked a massive 33 percent gain for the week. The reason for the sudden surge is unknown, but it was enough to vault Microgaming back into the top 10 after an eight-week absence."

Most opinions appeared to target the new MGS poker client introduced with little fanfare at the end of August as the likely cause for the surge in popularity, which catapulted the network from 11th place to eighth, overtaking Revolution Gaming.

In a more general sense, Pokerscout reported that over the week traffic rose 0.8 percent, which meant a 6.5 percent rise over the past three weeks with eight of the top ten sites all showing gains.
