Another $1.3 million For Isildur1

January 10, 2013 : ANOTHER MILLION FOR POKER ACE AS HEATER CONTINUES (Update)

Playing some of the best high stakes online poker mavens, Isildur1 does it again!

Those half-empty-glass railbirds who expected the massive heater Viktor Isildur1 Blom has been enjoying since the start of 2013 to peter out will be surprised to learn that he continues to prosper – most recently by over $1.3 million.

The young Swedish poker pro continued to ride the tiger on the high stakes PLO virtual tables at Full Tilt Poker Tuesday, and profited handsomely as a result. At one point he took $1,356,296 from tough rivals like Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond and Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky, both of whom were back for a second crack at him.

Instead, it turned out to be the Swede's most lucrative day since Black Friday.

The latest wins bring Blom's total since the year started to $4.1 million, according to the High Stakes Data Base website.

These are not the biggest sums of money Blom has seen cross the tables – he took a $4.2 million drubbing back in 2009 from Brian Hastings and friends who compared notes and did some detailed research on his playing style before successfully challenging him.

Blom started out Tuesday with an hour-long clash with Galfond on two tables of heads-up PLO, having just a day previous earned $425,000 from the American.

It didn't go well for Galfond, who lost another $317,000 to his seemingly invincible opponent. Never-say-die Galfond later returned for another go at his nemesis on two tables of heads up 2-7 Triple Draw, only to hand over a further $132,000 after just half-an-hour of action.

The confrontation with Sulsky took a little longer at two hours, but in 411 hands of $400/$800 Pot-Limit Omaha, Blom took the American for $743,000 before going on to a further re-match with Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau, from whom he took $89,200 after 90 minutes of 2-7 Triple Draw.

When we went to press Blom as back at the FTP nosebleed tables Wednesday, playing $2,000/4,000 Omaha Hi/Lo – the results of that session are certain to make interesting reading.
