Bulgaria Blocks Top UK Gambling Sites

Bulgarian State Gambling Commission bans sites belonging to leading UK internet gambling companies.
 
The Bulgarians are following the example of other European nations in drawing up blacklists and imposing advertising and ISP blocks on internet gambling operators accessing Bulgarian punters without the necessary licensing.
 
It all seems to be a little cart-before-the-horse, because although the relevant legalization has been published, it has not yet been formally enacted following national government announcements last year.
 
There are around 20 companies that have attracted the attention of the Bulgarian State Gambling Commission and ended up on the list, including Sportingbet, Betfred, Ladbrokes, Unibet, 888, bet365 and Betfair.
