Discussions to contribute towards policy decisions for 2014
 
The inaugural iGaming Legislative Symposium at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel in Sacramento on February 27, 2014 expects attendance from state legislators, tribal and commercial gaming operators, internet gaming specialists and gaming regulators.
 
According to Spectrum Gaming Group and Pechanga, co-hosts of the initiative, the legalization of iGaming in the State of California will be a hot topic with attendees exploring solutions and success scenarios which they predict will contribute towards policy decisions regarding launch, regulation and taxation of online gaming in California in 2014.
 
"The importance of fair taxation and strict regulation in a new industry like online gaming cannot be overstated," said Victor Rocha, owner and operator of Pechanga.  "The 2014 iGaming Legislative Symposium was created to look at these and other important issues facing California in the next legislative session. Our goal is to provide solutions to these complicated issues."

Online gambling remains on the table for a third consecutive year as the California legislature adjourns without movement on legalising the pastime.  Legislature has seen the introduction of the Correa and Wright online poker bills along with a tribal initiative  during 2013.
