PartyPoker WPT National UK Tour Newcastle


Wednesday April 30,2014 :  DEBUT OF PARTYPOKER WPT NATIONAL UK TOUR NEWCASTLE MAY 1-4

Aspers Newcastle is the next stop on the partypoker WPT National UK Tour this weekend, as the World Poker Tour rolls in to the UK city for the very first time for an event taking place from May 1-4 across the Bank Holiday.

Over 100 players who qualified online at partypoker are expected to take part as well a touch of local celebrity with Big Brother 12 runner-up Jay McKray, Geordie Shore’s Jay Gardner and North East world boxing champion Stu Hall.

The partypoker WPT National UK Newcastle £600 Main Event is split into three £200 flights. Players have the option to buy-in to one, two or all three of the Day 1 flights for £200. At the end of each flight chips will be bagged and moved forward to Day 2. All chips from each flight are accumulated to give players their total starting stack for Day 2. Flight one is 8pm on Thursday May 1, flight two is Friday May 2 at 2pm with flight three that evening at 8pm.

The Newcastle event is the fourth leg of the five-stop partypoker WPT National UK Tour taking place at Aspers Casinos. The final event sees a return to Aspers Westfield Stratford City London between July 3 – 6. The third leg of the Tour was held at the same venue and attracted a record 763 entrants, up from the previous record of 510 runners for a WPT National UK Tour event.
