Sixth high profile football partnership

Mondogoal has signed its fourth high profile English football club for a branded social daily fantasy sports offer.

Chelsea FC (currently at the top of the Barclays Premier League), follows similar deals with Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC and West Ham United FC for the launch of a branded version of Mondogoal’s Daily Best XI game, offering fans the chance to win cash prizes.

Mondogoal chief executive and founder Shergul Arshad commented: “In the digital space, their [Chelsea FC] cutting edge work in engaging a worldwide fan base is well documented, and we know that the addition of a unique pay fantasy platform for a first time will extend their engagement with fans even further.”

“We have seen studies that show US daily fantasy sites get 70 per cent of their revenue from NFL games, but around the world 70 per cent of global sports wagering is directed at soccer, so this partnership should be well received by our followers,” added Mark Bell, Chelsea FC’s head of licensing.

Mondogoal also recently clinched deals with Italy’s AS Roma and Spain’s  FC Barcelona.
