As most Torontonians hang their heads in shame after seeing their beloved Leafs get bumped out of the playoffs, one Toronto man has good reason to celebrate.
Absolute Poker today revealed the winner of the second Absolute Dream Package promotion. Daniel Boone, a 31-year-old construction worker and father of three from Toronto, Canada, finished first in the Sunday, April 9th online poker tournament to claim the grand prize worth $150,000.
The prize package grants Boone access to over $100 million in land-based tournament prize pools. Boone will join the first Absolute Dream Package winner, Scott Carroll, on the poker circuit where they’ll each play in 10 of the richest poker tournaments and the world’s biggest televised cash game. Boone will also receive pro training from poker’s best.
“Absolute Poker is fast becoming one of the best places to win access to the world’s hottest land-based poker tournaments,” stated David Clainer, senior vice president for Absolute Poker. “We’ve held this tournament twice and we’re thrilled to bring it back for a third time this June.”
Thousands of players flock to Absolute Poker each day to qualify for the Absolute Dream Package online poker final event. Clainer notes that the uniqueness of the prize package is what attracts online poker players to Absolute Poker.
“When you could win access to over $100 million in tournament prize pool money, there’s no reason to play anywhere else,” says Clainer. “The constant flow of traffic to our site combined with countless new signups each day is proving that. We’ve seen it with the first two Absolute Dream Packages and we’re about to see it happen again.”
Online qualifiers for the third Absolute Dream Package were announced earlier this week and players can win their way to June 3rd’s $216 final event for free starting today. The third Absolute Dream package is even bigger than before with a 5-star vacation and other poker prizes added to the mix.
