Affiliate forums in  the online gambling marketing sector are to band together in a new collaborative venture called the Affiliate Forum Alliance. The Alliance will be initially formed by four affiliate marketing forums: the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association owned by the Casino City group; the Association of Players, Casinos, and Webmasters owned by J. Todd, which recently joined the Casino City group; Affiliate Guard Dog.com and Poker Affiliate Listings owned by Jeremy Enke.

Although the Alliance is to have its own website, the constituent forums will retain their independence and identities.

Announcing the formation of the AFA on the GPWA public forum this week, Michael Corfman, President of the Casino City group wrote: "The alliance was formed so we can work together to create an environment where the reasonable concerns of affiliates come first in forums whose purpose is to support iGaming affiliates. We are also committed to transparency and believe that by working together we can significantly increase the level of transparency in the industry.

"We have joined together in response to recent industry events that we feel are inconsistent with the tenets upon which the alliance is founded. Many affiliates have expressed the view that a fellow affiliate was recently treated in a way that seemed to indicate that business came before the fair treatment of the affiliate. And we believe banning members from affiliate forums without due process is inconsistent both with the reasonable concerns of affiliates and with the principles of transparency to which we are committed.

"Personally, as Executive Director of the GPWA I am very excited about our decision to form an alliance and am extremely pleased to be working together even more closely with the other members. I strongly believe that by working together we will be able to accomplish substantially more than we would be able to accomplish independently. And I look forward to other forums joining the alliance in the future to make it even stronger."
