National Center for Responsible Gaming.: New Cheif

MGM's public affairs director appointed chairman of the American Gaming Association’s National Center for Responsible Gaming.
 
Alan Feldman, the public affairs director on the board of US land gambling giant MGM Resorts, has been appointed chairman of the new board controlling the American Gaming Association’s National Center for Responsible Gaming.
 
Feldman replaces Glenn Christenson, who will remain as a member of the board. Mark Vander Linden, from Iowa’s Office of Gambling Treatment and Prevention, was elected to serve on the board, which includes executives from Boyd Gaming, International Game Technology and Caesars Entertainment.
 
The NCRG has allocated its biggest budget thus far – $1.5 million – for research grants on problem gambling. It also plans to increase awareness on gambling disorders and solutions addressing the issue and promoting responsible gambling.
