Saturday’s WSOP online finals punched yet another ticket to the 2008 WSOP Main Event (a prize package for entry fee, hotel, and airfare valued at $17,500) and a coveted spot on Team PokerRoom.com. 55 players packed the virtual tournament room to maximum capacity, including Team PokerRoom veterans such as AKPlus, billybillard, Wieringen, sak31, and THEASH.

It was looking like we might have a repeat winner, as sak31 heald the chip lead for much of the later stages, and both THEASH and sak31 weere still alive and well when play was down to five-handed action:

Seat 1: THEASH ($34,200 in chips)
Seat 4: sak31 ($38,943 in chips)
Seat 5: domiN06 ($33,645 in chips)
Seat 7: Bibaxxxx ($43,016 in chips)
Seat 10: MrAkwell ($15,196 in chips)

sak31 would exit in 5th, though, when his open-ended straight draw on the flop didn't hit versus Bibaxxxx's overpair of QQ. MrAkwell was knocked out in 4th and the THEASH would join them on the rails in 3rd ($1,778 + a ticket) when his pair of 3s ran into yet another big pocket pair in the hands of Bibaxxxx, this time KK; just to rub a bit of salt in the wound THEASH actually rivered a 3 for a set but it eas meaningless as Bibaxxxx had flopped a set of kings himself.

Pokerroom bonus information

Bibaxxxx held a near 2-1 chip lead when heads-up play began, holding about 105,000 chips versus domiN06's 59,000, and he quickly finished matters. domiNo6 called from the SB and Bibaxxxx checked to see a flop of 10d 7c 9d. Bibaxxxx checked, domiN06 bet 3,000, and Bibaxxxx called.

The turn was the 10h, and fireworks ensued, with domiN06 eventually all-in and likely very happy to turn over his Jh 10c for trip 10s; happy until Bibaxxxx flipped over his 8s 6h for a flopped straight. domiN06 needed help on the river for a full house but the 2c dashed his dreams, leaving him in 2nd ($2,988 + a ticket) and giving the $17,500 prize package to Bibaxxxx.

Congrats to Bibaxxxx for joining all the other winners who've already booked their spots on Team PokerRoom.com for the 2008 Main Event and to all the players who turned out for yet another successful WSOP online satellite.
