Roy Winston, otherwise known as The Oracle, has stated that Phil Hellmuth cannot compare himself to Michael Phelps.
His comments were prompted by a claim by the eleven-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner that he and Phelps were the same as they were at the top of their sport.
In his blog, Winston quoted Hellmuth as saying that people are catching up with him all time, but that Phelps will likely remain the greatest swimmer the world has seen for far longer.
Winston said that he would not "even address the arrogance" of the man with the most cashes at the WSOP but wryly commented that he could do with some of Phelps' focus to avoid crashing out of tournaments, as he did earlier this week at the Bellagio.
As well as winning a record-breaking eight gold medals in Beijing this year, Phelps broke world records in seven out of eight events and the Olympic record in the other.
