Poker: Isildur1 Pissed Over hand History Sharing
12/18/09 – One of the low points for the unknown high stakes poker phenom Isildur1 recently was his multi-million dollar thrashing by CardRunners pros Brian Hastings, Brian Townsend and Cole South, each of whom made serious dents in the mysterious Swede's bankroll. 
The roller coaster clashes on the nosebleed tables at Full Tilt Poker captured the imagination and attention of the entire online poker community as millions changed hands…but behind the scenes was there questionable activity that may have been in conflict with Full Tilt rules?
That possibility surfaced this week on the well-informed twoplustwo message board and in reports at Crunch Poker. The reports are based on posts allegedly made by Hastings on his blog that appear to make the startling admission that he shared extensive hand histories with other Team Cardrunners members – including Isildur1's other two big beneficiaries Townsend and South – in order to analyse and master Isildur1's betting patterns.
The suggestion among experienced pokerheads is that this would be tantamount to breaking the rules at Full Tilt, which inter alia forbid:
"Shared hand history databases and "data mining" software, including subscription services and the exchange of personal databases:
"The use of shared hand histories provides detailed information on opponents a player has little or no personal experience playing against, and is deemed to be an unfair advantage. Violating this policy is subject to the maximum penalties for prohibited software use.
"Players are not permitted to use the hand histories for hands that they have not personally participated in. Software designed to collect hand history information from games that the player did not participate in is prohibited. Some specific examples include: community shared hand histories and exchanging hand histories with a friend"
It is not clear what the consequences of Hasting's actions may be should Full Tilt decide to enforce its terms and conditions. With millions of dollars involved there are a number of outcomes, not excluding legal action.
Isildur1 has been inactive for the past few days after taking some heavy financial hits, but he is undoubtedly following the new developments and discussions with keen interest.
