Poker: Isildur1 Loses Most of it back

2/19/10 – Just when it looked as if the unidentified Swedish high stakes online poker ace Isildur1 was recovering this week , he suffered a serious reversal of fortunes on the Full Tilt virtual tables Wednesday.

Less than 24 hours after leaving a successful session up $869 000, the Swedish phenom was back at Full Tilt and facing off against Tom Dwan, Justin Bonomo and Brian Townsend, all intent on lightening his bankroll in a series of heads ups.

Dwan, who has been steadily receovering from a bad patch this year, was the first to tackle Isildur1 in 166 hands of $200/$400 NLHE that saw Dwan profit by $33 000.

Bonomo confronted the Swede next, keen to recoup some of the $567 000 he lost to him Tuesday. The duo tangled for about an hour on six $100/$200 tables, playing 881 hands that ended with Bonomo winning back $233 521, according to MarketPulse reports.

At this point Isildur1 suggested they get serious and move to the $200/$400 NLHE tables, where a further 296 hands was quickly played, but did not help Isildur1, who went down a further $35 000 before Bonomo departed (he later won another $360 000, this time from Dwan) to be replaced by Brian Townsend.

Heads up on the $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha tables, Isildur1 faced the Cardrunners instructor, one of the architects of his multi-million dollar demolition by Brian Hastings last year.

Over 934 hands that saw most of the night's big pots, Townsend took the Swede for $651 000, leaving him in the red overall for the night to the tune of $959 645. Biggest pot of the night was a $415 986 that went Townsend's way.

The question now is, will Isildur1 be back for more?
