Daniel Negreanu has put in a strong day two performance at the World Poker Tour Festa al Lago in Las Vegas.

Kid Poker ended the day with more than 500,000 chips in front of him, giving him a chip lead of almost 50,000.

Among the players to fall against Negreanu were Steve Weinstein and Tom Dwan who was sent to the rail in the final level of the day.

Other players to finish strongly were Blake Cahail, who was in second with 467,000 and third-place Justin Bonomo who has amassed 383,000.

The top five at the end of play was completed by Nenad Medic, known online as serb, and World Series of Poker bracelet winner JC Tran.

Representing the women of the poker world was Jennifer Tilly, the only female player in the top ten, who finished the day with 330,000.

Negreanu is the player with best record in the WPT to date, having amassed over $5 million in prize money, more than any other poker star.
