Comedian Paul Rodriguez has been confirmed as the presenter of the new poker game show to be filmed at the Venetian Resort, Hotel & Casino.

The actor, who has appeared in films such as Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles and Rat Race, will host the show, which will feature poker legend Doyle Brunson, as well as younger stars such as Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Harman and Daniel Negreanu, reports onlinepokerwebsite.net.

Merv Adelson, executive producer of the show, commented: "Paul Rodriguez was a natural choice to be the host of The Real Deal. Funny, charismatic, and engaging, he knows how to connect with an audience."

He added that he hoped that the large number of fans who follow Rodriguez could bolster the show and increase power to the "already exciting ensemble".

The Real Deal is set to air on October 14th and will allow audiences to take part in games as the virtual ninth player at the table with poker pros.
