The Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln has unveiled its new cordoned-off poker area.
It will offer three varieties of the ever-popular no-limit hold'em as well as some limit hold'em tables and ones with Omaha hi-lo and Omaha, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
David DeLucia, vice president of casino operations, commented: "We don't have huge cash games yet, but for people who just want to come in and play a couple of times a week, it's a perfect place to come."
He added that the creation of the room was due to customer demand and said that gamers had been "clamouring" for live poker for years.
The casino also has a new bad-beat jackpot, which pays out when any hand that is a full house or above is beaten by four-of-a-kind.
In related news, the Sacramento Bee recently reported that Thunder Valley attracts players from a range of ethnic backgrounds, in particular gamers of Asian origin.
