FINANCE DIRECTOR APPOINTED AT THE WEATHER LOTTERY

The British lottery fundraiser and gaming company The Weather Lottery PLC (TWL) has announced the appointment of Andrew Flitcroft as Finance Director with immediate effect.
 
Flitcroft (46), a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, worked in private practice until 1999, followed by various senior finance roles in the technology, internet and service sectors.
 
TWL believes that his presence will greatly strengthen the board as it looks at new opportunities in the leisure sector.
 
TWL has had a rocky year with its former managing director Keith Milhench and co-worker Amie Pickersgill-Smith charged and sentenced for the misappropriation of jackpot payments amounting to GBP 80 000.
 
Later in the year, TWL was taken to court by the Rangers Football Club over non-payments of profits in a joint-venture amounting to GBP 29 000, the outcome of the case is pending
