138.com adds online poker to its casino and sportsbetting facilities.
 
138.com, operated by Xela Holdings, has chosen Microgaming to launch its online poker offering, and the operator is now live on the MPN.
 
138 is a successful online casino and sportsbook, with licences in the United Kingdom, Philippines, and Isle of Man, where its corporate headquarters are located. Popular in Asia, where it has operated for over a decade, the company offers ‘uniquely Asian’ experiences to its international players.
 
The online casino and sportsbook has strong ties to sport; it is the official club sponsor of Watford FC in the Football League Championship, and the official betting partner of Newcastle United FC in the English Premier League.
 
Alex Scott, head of poker at Microgaming, said Thursday that the company's recreational-focused poker strategy has now started to pay off, with a growing number of operators recognising the MPN.
 
138 is currently live with download and instant play clients, and will shortly be launching mobile.
 
Players with Mac or Windows PCs, or any major tablet or smartphone can play together at the same tables on the same network.

MPN recently added SBOBET and Adjarabet to its roster
