Fans of the television show The Simpsons have a smile on their face this morning as Americas Cardroom member ‘bartsimpsonscool69’ won the latest installment of THE CAGE on Wednesday night. After 4 hours of an epic battle, thirteen players were able to get a cash prize in this great promotion that combines the excitement of a cash game with the strategy of a high stakes poker tournament.

“We want to congratulate ‘bartsimpsonscool69’ on his triumph in The Cage and are just happy that he didn’t tell the other competitors to Eat My Shorts after the win” laughed Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. "In all seriousness though, we’re glad to see another good turnout which proves members like the new lower buy-in format."

The Cage is a 4-hour long cash game in tournament format that plays every Wednesday night (7pm ET) at US-facing online poker site, Americas Cardroom. It has a new lower buy-in of $1,000+50, allowing the opportunity for more players to fight their way to victory each week.

Last night, ‘bartsimpsonscool69’ emerged from The Cage with the most chips in hand, taking home $5,363 in the process. Members: kidduke102 ($4,513), LBJ23 ($4,085) and MrBe4n ($3,659) were next on the list, with 13 of the 34 total entrants finishing in the money.
Players can qualify directly into The Cage every Sunday night in The Beast (6pm ET) and Sit & Crush satellites (8pm ET). The buy-ins are $55 each or members can play for free by earning enough points in the weekly rake races. A total of 20 Cage entries are awarded each week via those satellites.
