31-year-old Danish online poker pro Alexander Petersen topped a field of 387 to win his first World Series Of Poker gold bracelet, a hefty $927655 pay check and the 2015 $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha World Championship Title.

Petersen bested Jason Mercier in heads-up play reversing a seemingly dire starting 3-1 chip count.

This marks Petersen’s first major live tournament win, his first cash of the series and one of the biggest top prize awards in the series against a stellar line up at the final table which included Shaun Deeb, Davidi Kitai, and Mercier.

“Coming to Las Vegas was always a break for me, away from playing,” Peterson explained.  “This is first event I played here where I really took it seriously, and it paid off.”
