Daniel Stacey Leads Last Three Tables at MPNPT Prague 2019. Yesterday at Rebuy Stars Savarin Casino, survivors from all three starting flights in the €550 MPN Poker Tour Prague Main Event combined to form a 128-strong Day 2 field, and by the time the final late registrants took their seats, the tournament had swelled to 402 total entrants. The top 47 players have either received their share of the 4,808,925 Kč (€192,357) total prize pool already, having busted last night, or will take home their cash today – the winner in the form of a hefty 900,000 Kč (€36,000) first prize.
The MPNPT Prague 2019 full schedule can be found here, including structure details of the final side event yet to run, the €55 buy-in NL Holdem Cool Down (14:00).
A harrowing eat saw the back of Thomas Westin on the bubble – although he will be back to play at MPNPT London in July on the house as consolation. A further 24 in-the-money players hit the rail before the close of play on Day 2 in quick time, setting the final day’s trophy-hunting hopefuls.
Leading the last 23 is Grosvenor Poker qualifier Daniel Stacey with 1,650,000 chips, who pipped Day 1a’s leader Mateusz Warowiec to top the counts after a late surge. Warowiec cemented his current 1,126,000 stack early on by knocking out the player with the next highest stack at the time, raking in the biggest pot of the tournament so far (1.7 million chips). Also in the mix are 2016 MPNPT Tallinn finalist Mantas Urbonas (291,000), Patryk Bablok (1,200,000) and fifth chip millionaire Alex Clark (1,012,000).
Also concluding today is the €20,000 guaranteed €220/5,500 Kč buy-in Hendon Mob Championship. Limited edition Hendon Mob merchandise was showered on the eliminators of special bounty players as the field dropped from 157 to the final table. Guaranteed at least 16,500 Kč for their efforts thus far, the winner will take home 178,800 Kč (nearly €7,000).
Live reporting archives remain on the MPN Poker Tour Blog from throughout the Main Event (May 2-5), with the final day’s blogging beginning at 14:00 with the restart of play.
