5050 Sports to be deployed as a bonus double-up feature in new land-based slot Mega Grandstand.
Games that are popular in the land gambling environment usually find their way online in due course, but this week 5050 Sports and Novomatic subsidiary Astra Games reversed the process.
In a unique agreement Astra Games will utilise 5050 Sports as a bonus double-up feature in its new land-based slot for the UK market, Mega Grandstand.
5050 Sports will bring two of England’s biggest sports stars to ICE Totally Gaming 2014 as it launches its partnership with Astra.
Former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United striker Michael Owen and Ashes-winning captain Michael Vaughan will promote the collaboration between Real Sports Global, owners of 5050 Sports, and Astra Games at the London show.
Owen and Vaughan front the football and cricket versions of 5050 Sports, which also has a boxing variation starring Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton and a darts theme with Simon ‘The Wizard’ Whitlock.
Players enter the feature when winning GBP 10 or higher on Mega Grandstand. The 5050 Sports game is presented by popular broadcaster Jim Rosenthal alongside one of the four personalities from the virtual studio as they interact with players who wager on the outcome of the upcoming, officially licensed archived sports video footage.
Mega Grandstand featuring 5050 Sports includes classic footage from the FA Cup and England football matches, PDC darts, international cricket fixtures and world championship boxing.

5050 Sports has been successful online since the standalone version of the game launched with BetVictor at the end of 2013. Real Sports Global also has additional, exclusive archive video rights from a range of sports federations, including Premier League snooker, top-level golf, poker, greyhound racing and motorsport among others, for use in 5050Sports.
