Isildur1 Crushing High Stakes Poker Again

03/03/2012 :  POKER ACE ISILDUR1 CRUSHES HIGH STAKES OPPOSITION

Thursday night rampage saw Swedish phenom harvest $577 000

He's back with a vengeance…the mercurial Swedish internet poker ace Viktor ‘Isildur1' Blom has had an on-and-off sort of year online so far – down overall around $600,000 – but he was back in the big money on the Pokerstars high stakes virtual tables Thursday, crushing the opposition and ending his session up $577,000.

Playing a total of 3,837 hands on the nosebleed tables, Blom put in a confident, audacious performance, starting on the $25/$50 tables and escalating his action to a confrontational heads-up on the $50/$100 tables against player Sauce123.

Having demolished Sauce, Blom hit the serious $100/$200 tables, playing 6-Max against Jens Kyllonen, doncarignano, MaiseE, Phil Galfond and mTw-DaviN, and pretty much crushing them all; his closest rival in the winner stakes was Alexey Makarov, who was way behind on $156,000.

With a $1.3 million take-home for his victory in the 2012 Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure Super High Roller live tournament padding his bank balance, Blom looks set to provide more firework shows as the year progresses.

According to the High Stakes Database, the really big losers online Thursday were MaiseE (down $284,000); Jens Kyllonen (down $198,000); Doncarignano (down $173,000); bernard-bb (down $125,000) and mTw-DaviN (down $109,000).
