CORERO DDoS SHIELD SELLING WELL IN EUROPE.

Company claims that three major gambling groups have placed orders worth $600,000.

UK-based cyber-security specialist Corero Network Security plc claims it is enjoying solid commercial success with its SmartWall Threat Defence System (TDS), with orders totaling $600,000 from three major European gambling groups intent on securing their websites from Distributed Denial of Services assaults.

Less than a fortnight after announcing an order from a top 10 US cable operator, the AIM-listed firm said the three orders for the system from leading European companies in the online gaming and gambling market were secured after successful proof of concept trials and competitive procurement processes.

Corero CEO Ashley Stephenson lauded the "breakthrough capabilities" of TDS in automatic, in-line, real time DDoS protection.

"We look forward to announcing continuing deal momentum in the coming months as the SmartWall TDS customer base grows across our target markets," he added.
