ARISTOCRAT – GAMEACCOUNT DEAL LAYS THE FOUNDATION FOR U.S. ONLINE GAMBLING
Friday August 26,2011 : Free-play internet platform to be supplied for the use of US players.
GameAccount Network's collaborative agreement with land gambling game and equipment developer Aristocrat Technologies in March this year has produced its first fruits – a deal through which GameAccount will provide Aristocrat with a free-play internet gaming platform for use by its US casino clients.
The platform and range of free-to-play slots, table games and skill games, including online poker, will be made available to Aristocrat licensees/operators in the United States and will include online versions of Aristocrat’s top land-based slots.
GameAccount Network managing director, Dermot Smurfit said this week: “Free-play online games are an important step in preparing for regulated Internet gaming in the US. Enabled by our compliant and certified internet gaming platform, Aristocrat’s land-based casino operators will attract free-to-play games communities in advance of any expected regulation.
“Based on our experiences in Europe, those free play games communities will readily convert to real money gaming in due course,” he added.
Sam Nickless, Aristocrat’s managing director of emerging business and strategy, said the deal represented a natural evolution of his company’s existing relationship with GameAccount, giving its American clients access to a safe, secure and legally compliant e-gaming platform that can be customised as required to extend their offering to players interested in the online gaming environment.
Although the Aristocrat deal represents something of an American breakthrough, the GameAccount e-gaming platform is widely used by major European gambling companies, and is compliant with UK Gambling Commission and Alderney Gaming Control Commission software requirements.
