WHY HAS LADBROKES PULLED OUT OF CHINA?

Speculation mounts as affiliates are told that Chinese and Hong Kong players no longer welcome

Online gambling marketing affiliates are currently speculating on a surprise move by the UK online gambling group Ladbrokes which suggests that the UK online gambling group is no longer interested in China and Hong Kong business.

The speculation has been heightened by Ladbrokes' silence on the reasons behind its decision.

The gambling group emailed affiliates as the week closed, with the following message:

"Dear Affiliate,

We hope all is well.

Due to technical problems, as of tonight Ladbrokes has taken the decision to
suspend our operations to Chinese and Hong Kong customers across all channels
and products until further notice.

This news is now highlighted on the Chinese and Hong Kong websites and the
relevant players have been informed.

If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kind Regards,

The Ladbrokes Affiliate Team"

When we went to press, an official public statement was still awaited from Ladbrokes, and it is unknown at this stage whether Asian players have been similarly advised.
