Friday July 22,2011 : Acquisition pushes Bally's mobile app business intentions
Gaming systems provider, Bally Technologies Inc announced the acquisition of MacroView Labs, a privately-held mobile-application and mobile platform developer, for an undisclosed consideration.
The acquisition will accelerate the growth of Bally's mobile applications business by providing an infrastructure for rapid deployment across multiple smart-phone operating systems and will result in the company having full control over the development of new mobile-gaming marketing, customer service and play-for-fun technologies.
MacroView Labs, based in San Francisco, will be integrated with Bally's slot-management systems, casino-management systems and Elite Bonusing Suite which will enable Bally to offer more powerful solutions to its customers.
The mobile developer provides mobile applications and websites to the casino industry and claims a customer base of over twenty casinos and more than one million users of their applications. The company develops apps for the hospitality, retail and gaming industries and assist casinos in managing their mobile content, launch mobile campaigns and interpret user data.
