Massachusetts Online Poker Bill Killed

Thursday May 2, 2013 : MASSACHUSETTS ONLINE POKER HOPES DASHED (Update)

Online poker amendment was not included in final budget vote

The news that 18 Massachusetts politicians had attempted to legalise online poker by adding an amendment to the state budget bill last week sparked hope that the US state could become the fourth to legalise some form of internet gambling, but those hopes have now been dashed.

After initial reports that the amendment had been left intact when the budget bill was voted forward  it transpired Wednesday that in fact the internet poker legalization proposal had been removed from the bill prior to the vote.
