Net Entertainment gets Alderney Gambling license

Category 2 licence issued by Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

The Swedish online gambling software provider Net Entertainment AB has successfully applied for a Category Two licence issued by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, opening access to the respected jurisdiction by Net Entertainment licensees.

“We are proud to add Net Entertainment to our list of world-class licensed suppliers,” said Robin Le Provost, director of e-commerce development for Alderney, located in the Channel Isles.

“Our rigorous licensing and verification process is widely seen as a seal of approval of the highest order, which is a key reason why we have become a major European hub for the online gaming industry.”

A statement from Net Entertainment advised that the licence has other benefits, among them the possibility to offer disaster and crisis recovery services to licensees once it has established a new hi-tech hosting site.

Chief executive Johan Ohman said: “Net Entertainment has always focused on providing the highest reliability and availability and it should, therefore, come as no surprise that we are one of the first suppliers to provide disaster recovery services.

“There are today massive values at stake for the leading operators and this is why we are convinced that disaster recovery solutions will become a key prerequisite for doing business moving forward.”
