Largest career win to date
Welsh poker pro, Roberto Romanello (34) pushed his lifetime poker earnings over the $1.5 million mark when he took down the Pokerstars.net European Poker Tour Prague Main Event this week in a heads up against Emiliano Bono, taking home a Euro 640000 paycheck.
After a tantalisingly close sixth place at EPT Copenhagen earlier this year, an emotional Romanello broke down after the final card was played – this is his largest career win to date.
The main event saw 563 entrants at a Euro 5300 buy-in that created a prize pool of Euro 2 730 550. 80 players cashed out.
Final table results:
1 Roberto Romanello Euro 640,000
2 Emiliano Bono Euro 435,000
3 Marcin Horecki Euro 247,000
4 Peter Skripka Euro 163,000
5 Marco Leonzio Euro 130,000
6 Jan Bendik Euro 100,000
7 Manuel Bevand Euro 71,000
8 Roberto Nulli Euro 54,550
