Tristan Wade Wins Wsope Event 4

Monday, October 17, 2011 : Psychology grad collects fourth bracelet to be awarded in current Word Series of Poker Europe competition

Tristan ‘cre8tive' Wade (26), a respected online player and poker blogger, claimed the fourth gold winner's bracelet to be awarded at this year's World Series of Poker Europe, currently running in Cannes, France.

Wade took down the Euro 3,200 buy-in No Limit Hold'em Shootout, besting a field of 256 that included notables like Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanul, David Williams, Kevin MacPhee, Ben Lamb, Isaac Haxton, Bertrand Grospellier and Sorel Mizzi.

It was Wade's first WSOP bracelet in an eight year career that has seen him run deep in a previous WSOP tournament and achieve 23 cashes in live and online action, earning the Florida psychology grad over $1 million.

On the final day, Wade faced a final table that included Michael Watson, Richard Toth, Max Silver, Bertrand Grospellier, Steve O'Dwyer, Emil Patel, Taylor Paur and James Dempsey.

Wade played with discipline and confidence throughout, steadily building his stack and judging the right moments to unleash a more aggressive style. It paid off, although by the time the heads up with Michael Watson was reached Wade was battling a 400 000 chip deficit. He did not allow this to divert him from his disciplined play, grinding back into contention and then taking his opponent down to win the Euro 182,048 main prize and a coveted bracelet.

Watson took home Euro 112,526.
