Vienna Mind Sports Festival adds Poker

Poker featured in mind sports festival…and the WPT is in Vienna too
 
Reinforcing the view that poker is a game in which skill and smarts play a key role, the game has again been featured in this year's Vienna Mind Sports Festival, along with equivalents like chess, backgammon, risk, scrabble and several other popular gaming pursuits.
 
Running from February 11 to 25, the festival conveniently coincides with a World Poker Tour tournament in the charming and historic Austrian city
 
The organisers of the festival, Mind Sports International, define the genre as a pursuit that does not necessarily demand physical ability or expensive equipment, and one that can be enjoyed anywhere.
 
The goal of the organisation is to stimulate intellectual development through social interaction on mentally challenging games.
