Contenders Aplenty at ACC Tournament

Tuesday March 12 ,2014 :  College Basketball Odds: Contenders Aplenty at ACC Tournament

The ACC may not boast the No. 1-ranked team in the NCAA this season, but that doesn’t mean they’re not still the toughest conference in the country. This weekend, hoops fans looking to bet on college basketball at its best will get the opportunity to do exactly that. Choosing one of Virginia, Syracuse, Duke or North Carolina, however, is no easy task.

In addition to the four top seeds, the ACC Tournament will also feature the likes of Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, a testament to the conference’s depth in the weeks leading up to the NCAA Tournament later this month.

Heading into the 13-team draw for bragging rights, Virginia boasts the No. 1 seed, but it’s Duke with the highest ranking in the AP polls. Led by super freshman Jabari Parker, the No. 4 Blue Devils may well be the team to beat despite their No. 3 seed, but gauging those NCAA odds isn’t so simple.

At this point in the season it’s obvious that all are highly regarded and competent programs capable of not only thriving in the ACC Tournament, but the Big Dance itself. Think you know how it will all unfold? Action tips off Wednesday, with a finale slated for Sunday.
