High aspirations from relatively unknown poker operator
 
India-based Adda52.com, an operation claiming to be India's first online poker room, has undergone a revamp which it believes will facilitate its International expansion to take on "the poker giants of the world".
 
The website currently offers No Limit Texas Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha poker game variants which it says constitute the first poker cash game in India.  Rummy, Chess, Bridge and Tic-Tac-Toe fill the rest of its gaming portfolio.
 
Adda52 claims 200 000 plus users, an ‘effective' loyalty programme and payment options on all Indian credit/debit cards.
 
It is apparently owned by Gaussian Networks Pvt Ltd. and managed by IIT-IIM Alumnus.
 
The legality of the operation is unclear given the current online gambling regulatory climate in India, however, Adda52 says the games it offers involve substantial skill and as such are supported by legalizations and judicial pronouncements prevailing in the country.  It also claims verification of its legality from Constitutional, Criminal and Corporate law firms and counsels.
