AGA Steps Up Legal Sports Betting Effort

AMERICAN GAMING ASSOCIATION RAMPING UP LEGALISED SPORTS BETTING EFFORTS
 
Associations infographic on the NFL season kick-off gets wide mainstream coverage.
 
The American Gaming Association’s increasingly aggressive campaign for the legalization of sports betting at state levels in the United States received a major boost as the current NFL season got underway this week.
 
Using social media and other channels, the Association drew attention to an infographic on its educated estimate that the season will see $90 billion in wagers across the USA…but that 98 percent of it will be wagered illegally.
 
Mainstream media, including wide television coverage, immediately seized on the story, giving the Associations drive for legalization by Congress through the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act wide publicity – see two sample reports here:
