ChiliGaming's Alex Dreyfus gets into the poker ranking sector

Successful online gambling entrepreneur and ChiliGaming founder, Alex Dreyfus, is using his latest Malta-based venture, Zokay Entertainment to get into the poker ranking sector, buying up the Global Poker Index from the Pinnacle group, which acquired ownership from the ill-fated Federated Sports and Gaming Enterprise and its Epic Poker subsidiary when these companies went to the wall earlier this year.

Dreyfus is to re-brand the GPI to GPIZokay Entertainment, and claims he has ambitious plans for the ranking system.

“The GPI is the best poker ranking system in the world, and we plan to make it even better,” Dreyfus said Wednesday, intimating that additions may include the implementation of a national player rankings system embracing 17 different nations,  along with an enhanced GPI leader board with better rewards.

A top level awards ceremony is also in the works, covering industry and personal accomplishments of people and players in the live tournament industry.
