Amaya Gaming Group addresses acquisition rumors

But neither confirms or denies PokerStars rumours
 
Amaya Gaming Group posted a response to what it terms "trading activity that may stem from market rumours that have come to the company’s attention regarding a potential strategic acquisition", without making any specific mention of PokerStars
 
Amaya said it regularly evaluates potential acquisition opportunities which may lead to discussions with potential targets but that there is no assurance these discussions will ultimately lead to a transaction.
 
As such the company declined to comment any further on current market rumours “unless and until it is warranted”.
