Update offers new features, promotions and social network tie-ins
 
Global Gaming Network Inc. said it has made major improvements to its Amped Fantasy fantasy sports website.
 
New features were released to take advantage of the remainder of the NFL season, including playoff games and Super Bowl 2013.
 
New additions include:
 
–           favourite player pick and store,
–           freeroll contests for cash with no entry fee
–           blog access providing information on player performance etc
–           Facebook and Twitter tie-ins
 
The Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) cites a $4 billion fantasy sports market in North America with future growth into the global market estimated to be worth between $12 and 15 billion, said Stephen Kern, president of GBGM.  According to the FSTA, fantasy sports participation has grown 60 percent over the past four years with 32 million players in the U.S. and Canada.
