268 players sign up for 2012 PokerStars.net Asian Pacific Poker Tour Seoul main event

US player Andrew Kim paid for his trip to Seoul, South Kroea and then some over the weekend with his first prize win in the 2012 PokerStars.net Asian Pacific Poker Tour Seoul main event, worth Korean Won 145,000,000 (GBP 82,235)

Played over three days, the competition saw Kim make an international final table that comprised Vincent Rubianes, Rafael Rodrigo, Moritz Ortmann, Sasa Zorc, Jose Severino, Taewook Kwon, Daisuke Endo and Kenneth Wong.

Wong, who was the runner-up in this year's Aussie Millions, did not fare nearly as well in this tournament, and was the first to be eliminated from the final table.

With the elimination of Sasa Zorc in fifth place, the four remaining players agreed to a chop based on chip counts, leaving Korean Won 35,000,000 in the kitty for the winner. With their returns assured, the action recommenced, with Ortmann and Rodrigo busting out in that order, leaving the heads up to Kim and Vincent Rubianes, with Kim about a million ahead in chips.

The American managed to retain control of the game in its closing stages, finally sending Rubianes home with a second placing check for KRW 90,500,000.
