Android-based app store for real-money gambling

Tuesday September 01,2015 : DEDICATED ANDROID REAL-MONEY WAGERING APP STORE ON THE CARDS

First “complete eco-system for gaming apps”.

Privately-held California-based Betcade is planning the launch of an Android-based app store for real-money gambling, initially in the UK market in July 2016.

The outfit founded and headed up by David Chang, claims it will be “the first dedicated Android app store for the gaming industry and the premier destination for players to discover, download and manage the best gaming apps”.

Betcade foresees its launch as a secure branded app store providing casino operators easy distribution and promotion of real-money gaming apps.  Simply put a complete gaming app ecosystem which obviates the more traditional app download stores such as Apple, Google and Amazon who don’t allow gaming apps access to their full support ecosystem, if at all.

The new app store will offer features and a user experience similar to existing app stores, including ranking and promotions, curating content, and streamlining payment.

The man behind the operation, founder and chief executive officer David Chang, formerly served as chief marketing officer before becoming head of industry relations at Gamblit Gaming.

He also founded games developer Gamiker Inc. in 2012 and online gaming firm OnNet Europe GmbH in 2009.

Prior to his tenure at Gamblit, Chang was managing director of international business for IGN  where he led Fox Interactive Media’s international content strategy, corporate development and operational expansion into Europe and Asia.

Betcade will debut at the upcoming Global Gaming Exhibition (G2E) at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Las Vegas from September 29 to October 1, 2015.
